Paje is a village on the Tanzanian island of Unguja, part of Zanzibar. It is located on the southeast coast between the villages of Bwejuu and Jambiani. The lagoon is used to learn kite boarding, since a very consistent side-onshore wind is blowing most of the year, the lagoon is shallow during low tide and has a sandy bottom and the reef protects the lagoon from waves. After breakfast at the hotel, our driver-guide will pick you up and drive you to Stone Town. Stone Town is one of the oldest living Swahili towns in East Africa. It’s unique winding, narrow streets are adorned with (some crumbling) beautiful buildings. Established by Arab slave and spice traders in the early 19th century, Stone Town is the cultural heart of Zanzibar. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site which has enabled some of the beautiful houses to get a much-needed renovation. The places to visit at Stone Town are, Beit-El-Ajaib or ‘House of Wonders’ – built in the 1870s for Sultan Barghash; it’s grand, ornate and imposing. Plans are afoot to turn this into a National Museum. The Anglican Cathedral, built in 1873 by the British on the site of the old slave market. The Nasur NurMohamed Dispensary, built in 1887 by Thaira Thopen, Zanzibar’s richest man at the time. One of the first buildings to get renovated in Stone Town. The Market – hectic and fascinating bazaar, similar to those found in North Africa. After the stone town tour, our driver guide he will take you to Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island which is located in the western part of Zanzibar Island, just off Stone Town. It takes around 25 minutes by local boat riding from the Stone Town beach. The island’s main attraction is the popular Giant Tortoises, who can live up to 200 years. In this tour, you will get a chance to explore and learn the history of these beautiful creatures and also about Prison Island itself. You will be with our expert local tour guide who will be explaining each area of interest. Apart from being a place where you can go to see the Giant Tortoises, it also is a perfect destination to do swimming, & Relaxing on the beach. Therefore after all information about the Island, then you will have time for swimming & relaxing on the beach. At the end of the day, our guide will transfer you back to the hotel for the overnight stay

The island is surrounded by the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean, allowing you to explore a colourful underwater world at Mnemba island. The coral reefs around Zanzibar are home to an impressive diversity of marine life. You’ll likely see fish in all the colours of the rainbow, including clown fish, dragon fish, parrot fish and boxfish. You might also see starfish and Molluscs such as squid. The waters around Zanzibar are home to 600 different species of fish and 50 different types of coral, so there’s plenty of opportunity to familiarize yourself with some of them while wearing your snorkel gear.
